Overstock Art made a bold change during the 2022 holiday season: It pushed back its shipping cutoff date by one week.
OverstockArt.com’s sales were struggling in the second half of 2022, and it needed to have strong holiday sales, says Amitai Sasson, vice president of ecommerce for the web-only art merchant.
The fourth quarter typically accounts for about 40% of total sales for the year. And they weren’t off to a good start.
“Our numbers in the critical Cyber Monday, Black Friday took a dip from last year,” Sasson says.
